How did you find yoga?

Updated: Jul 30

My personal journey into yoga happened at a stage in my life, when I was under a lot of stress in my marriage. I was raising young family and also working part time.

It all occurred by accident as I had been searching for a Tai Chi class as means to finding some mental peace and relaxation outside the daily stresses and strains of my everyday existence. During my search I come across a leaflet which had been handed to me about Kundalini yoga class at the local missionary centre. I went to my first session

and was drawn in immediately. I floated out of the class with a tingly body and a clear, awakened mind.I felt more alive. I felt lighter and so much calmer.

Thirteen years forward,I now teach at home, at a local studio and at a community hall in West London.

The benefits of Kundalini yoga:

Kundalini Yoga is a science and technology that gives you “hand on” experience of harmonising the mind and body and builds a connection to the soul.

Practising Kundalini yoga enables us to harness the energy of the mind and the emotions, so that we can be more in control of ourselves, rather then been controlled by our thoughts and feelings.

It achieves this by balancing the glandular system and strengthening the nerves system.

Feel happier, healthier; be more productive, more creative, and more relaxed!

Transform your life and relationships, and feel more fulfilled and satisfied!

Boost your energy levels and enjoy greater levels of physical well-being!

Become more intuitive and able to attract new opportunities!

Embark on an exciting new journey of self-discovery!

This is why my students come to my classes and day retreats:

“So, I started yoga because I feel like my mind and body are desperate to be in harmony with each other. Kundalini seems to me, above other forms of yoga that I have read into, to be the most in depth discipline and more so the way of life that I was looking for” Dean

“I find the classes are so peaceful and calming for me, it’s the only place that I find this inner peace” “Doing my practice at home is not the same, I don’t seem to find that inner peace” Raminder

“A beautiful safe space, felt the day was well structured and informative, and lovely group energy” "I highly recommend attending one of Harjit's day retreat's for self care" Tracey
